Creating the best cardiac small-group class

We are specialists in cardiac exercise and cardiac rehabilitation we have designed small-group cardiac rehabilitation classes for those who are recovering from and living with cardiac condition(s) who need a structured evidence exercise programme with a community feel.

We want to make this feel like a highlight of your day!

Each class will be run by one of our AHCS Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologists (CEP) each class has a limit of 6 people to ensure your utmost safety and attention to detail from our CEPs in a group setting.

This is a supportive environment that is built around community, camaraderie and accountability.

We know everyone will have different goals and reasons for taking part we will help you improve your cardiovascular capacity, reduce your risk of hospitalisation, improve your quality of life giving you your freedom back.

 
 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our first classes are opening in Southfields at HomeWorks Sweat19 (~2 min walk from the tube station) and at Isolate on Fulham Rd (~ 8 min walk from Putney Bridge tube station).

  • Don’t worry this is a common question. We will meet you where you are there is no require fitness standard to join the classes. Our CEPs are very skilled and they personalise each session for you so you can get the most out of your exercise.

  • No, you don’t, however, if you did have a clinical letter that would be great to bring with you.

  • It is very common to have more than one clinical condition our CEPs are trained to deliver exercise to people with a variety of clinical conditions so you are in good hands.

  • Cardiac rehabilitation is a supervised programme run by a AHCS registered clinical exercise physiologist. Our programme helps you recover and improve heart health after a heart attack, surgery, or other heart conditions.

    It includes personalised exercise, heart health education, and support to build strength, reduce risks, and improve your quality of life. With expert guidance, you'll gain the tools to stay active, manage stress, and adopt habits for long-term heart health.

  • If you've had a heart attack, heart surgery, angioplasty, stent placement, heart failure, or another heart condition such as hypertension.

    Or if you have any of the cardiovascular risk factors:

    Obesity/overweight, diabetes, high cholesterol, poor cardiovascular fitness, and/or high sedentary behaviour.

  • Cardiac rehabilitation classes combine supervised exercise, heart-health education, and emotional support. You'll engage in safe, tailored exercises to improve strength and endurance, learn about nutrition and lifestyle changes to support your recovery and long term health, and receive guidance from a AHCS Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Group settings also offer a supportive community to share experiences and stay motivated.

  • We recommend 12 weeks for the best results but any exercise you under take will be better than none at all.
